Three weeks into summer

The summer days and weeks seem to be flying by! All in all we get ten of them before school begins again on August 5th! I used to feel a lot of pressure to fill the time with four little pairs of eager eyes looking to me for entertainment. But alas, already, times are changing and the kids are staying rather busy without much extra boost from me. And when there's down time we all like it. Ah.
The first weekend of summer we got away to the mountains. We spent the week after that unpacking, doing laundry, shutting all the blinds in the whole house, popping popcorn and watching movies, and loving the new slow-flow of summer vacation!

The second week brought swim team and swim lessons and potty-training. Luke and I are up early to get him and his buddy to the pool at 7am. I then start teaching my cute little students at 7:45 until 9:30. Meanwhile the girls are watching Full House and eating breakfast, Jake's catching his ride to swim team and Luke is returning home. We all reconvene around the breakfast table about 10am to officially start the day together. And then we veg!
This week Ashely has been at a singing camp 11-12 every morning. And Luke has been at scout camp each day 2-10pm. We are getting tired!
My lessons end tomorrow for this month and next week brings nothing more than a day up at Girls Camp for me.
Work is busy for Tyler. Poor daddy never gets a summer break. We just love it when he comes home to us at night to eat, swim and rub my feet. ;)
We've been doing a lot of reading to fill in the blanks. I've got the best series going - The Work and the Glory. I just started the 4th book and there's 9 total in the series so this should get me through the whole pregnancy I figure! And the kids are reading a book a week - required to be done by Monday night family night or no electronics til it's finished. I love a quiet 20 minutes where we all cuddle up to read while Claire naps.
So that's our summer so far! Going great and feeling good. Its HOT! And Im 24 weeks along with this little guy!... We can do this.

I think I can I think I can...
