Sweet Luke's 11th Birthday!

Luke scored two alone dates with mom and dad this year because daddy got him tickets to a Cardinals game as his gift. That was a fun night, going to chipotle for dinner and the game. Luke is so chill and easy to hang out with. He has become quite the sports fan the last couple years and really loves watching football so this gift idea was perfect.

For his birthday he wanted a basement party. The boys played shot-hoops, ping-pong, wii and had pizza and pop. Then we threw them all out in the pool for an hour to play basketball and be crazy. It was the most easy birthday party we have had yet as a family because the boys are old enough to behave and entertain themselves. Tyler and I got to sit back and watch, and even go through some mail while they were all here. Luke is blessed with a great group of good boys for friends!

That night we went to his traditional birthday dinner.  This kid loves it.

Heavenly Father hooked us up huge when he sent us Luke as our first-born. Luke is such an example around here! He is innately obedient, kind and fair. He wants our home to be happy and does everything he can to help it have a happy feeling. He is an active, mischievous, silly boy too and loves to have fun in the pool and playing sports. He's fun to talk to, tells great, detailed stories and is an excellent student who is responsible for his own work. Daddy and I never have to get after him to finish on time or turn assignments in.  He is a talented athlete and also musician, playing percussion and surprising people at how well he plays the piano.

He is a natural leader and one who others are drawn to follow and like to be around. We are extremely blessed to have Luke at the top of this family!!  He is a lot like his dad. WE LOVE YOU LUKE TYLER!!
