I guess I can best desribe life on board the ship this way: Lately I've had a heel spur that really hurts. Before we left on our trip I could barely walk on my foot. On board the ship I did so little that I never thought once about the pain. Yesterday, my first day back at home, I was icing it again by bedtime...
We basically relaxed in every form and fashion on the ship. We woke up to rain - full on rain - that first morning at sea. Where many people who had come from the snow were highly bothered by this, we just rolled over and slept a few more hours.
About 2, after working out in their little gym, the sun came out and we definitely soaked it up.
It's been a long time since we could sit in the sun without interruption (I'm always in the shade with Ashley!) and the next thing we knew, we were both FRIED! I had laid out in a tank top and running shorts and paid the consquence. Nice tan lines, I know.
By that night we were lobsters. We got some SPF at the mini-mart. Then we roamed around and Ty gave me $7 to spend on the quarter machine where the quarters hang off the edge and you swear your one coin away from them all dropping onto your lap (I love watching that thing!). We lasted a while at that, but ended the way everyone does - with empty pockets - and that was it for the casino.
