Pictures

div>

Maybe these pictures don't look so bad, but you have to see it, smell it and feel it to believe it. It's very sad and gross that some people live like this. Just layers of dust, grime, spilled stuff in the carpet that no one bothered to sop up... I truly don't think they have ever cleaned their home in 6 years. The good news is that the work to be done is mainly all cosmetic and we have made a lot of progess already today. Tyler has been there since 7am, pulled up all the carpet and prepared the walls to be painted. I went for about 4 hours and helped scrub the walls and Tyler laughed at how I kept saying the same thing over and over "This is unbelievable!" It is though. Luckily Bulk Trash Pick-up comes this week because our renter left half his house on the curb. That was to be expected though with him...
Can't wait to post pictures of the painting tomorrow!

Here are the grimey ones that my mom wanted to see to get a better idea:

To think I've been feeling sorry for myself and all the painting and carpentry we've been doing this weekend. It's nothing compared to your job! But I'm sure it will look really great when you guys are finished! I actually like doing home projects. Although, yours is quite the project! Good luck! Can't wait to see the "after" pics!

That is so much work. But after all your work it is going to look better. That is a nice plan. Do you like it.? Someday it will pay off.

Eeeeeiiiiiiuuuuuuu! What in the world did they do to those walls? We had renters for 5 years in Utah in our basement and they had a cat with what must have been the longest claws known to man. Needless to say, we had a big job when they moved out too. Good luck! Can't wait to see updates on painting at your home too.

You and Tyler have been saints to the renters! Hope all goes well with your future plans for this house.
